Snow still on the ground as I arrived for an evening of debate (and of course tea) at Brown Edge Women's Institute in the Moorlands. It always feels a bit like going on holiday heading from the southern bit of Staffordshire to the Moorlands.
Well worth the journey though as I was meeting members of the Brown Edge WI. I always enjoy WI evenings, done quite a few now! This was no different with a good turnout, insightful questions and an incredibly warm closing thank you from the president.
Lots covered. Police preparedness for the future, budgets, how crime is changing, the abhorent abuse of children and why I'm, apparently, so enthusiastic about my job... they said that not me... but I am to be fair. Excellent evening and the hour drive home passed quickly as I reflected on some of the talks.
