I have thoroughly enjoyed talking to nearly two dozen Rotary Clubs and Womens' Institutes so far this year. It's always been a warm welcome and usually pretty intense debate on some of the most difficult subjects around policing, security, the societal challenges faced here and across the world and how technology will help meet some of the changing face of crime.
A particularly detailed, well informed group with high quality discussion at Wolstanton Rotary Club a couple of days ago. And a cracking bite to eat at their usual venue the Borough Arms Hotel in Newcastle-under-Lyme. Tremendous!
I've met over 20,000 people at these events during the last 3 years and while it was a little bit scary at the start they've been incredibly useful for gaining opinion and views.
